Hopkins County Release Alert Systems
Texas changed its county notification system on September 1, 2025. The Texas Attorney General explains that county VINE registrations moved to Texas IVSS-Counties. The Hopkins County Sheriff's page still carries a legacy “Register for Vine” link, but that older label is not the authoritative route for a new registration in 2026. Existing users were asked to update credentials as the provider changed.
IVSS-Counties covers available county custody, supervision, and case events. A Hopkins County Jail bond release belongs in this county layer. State-prison custody, parole, and mandatory-supervision events use the separate TDCJ IVSS portal. Mandatory supervision is a prison release required or approved under state rules with continued supervision. These systems share a notification purpose, but their records cannot be merged.
Search One Hopkins County Record
The county portal accepts a full or partial name, DOC ID, SID, jail ID, or permanent booking number. An SID is the state identification number tied to a criminal-history identity. A jail or booking identifier is safer than a common name. The portal warns that its search is designed for current custody or supervision, so someone no longer covered may not remain visible.
- Open Texas IVSS-Counties and enter the strongest identifier available.
- Compare each match by full name, agency, case, and identifier. Do not choose a record from name alone.
- Open the matching offender or case and read the exact custody or supervision status.
- Note the source, status wording, and access date before registering for an event.
- If no record appears, check Hopkins Current Inmates and request the sheriff's booking and release sheet.

Hopkins County IVSS Release Fields
Available fields depend on the agency feed and the stage of the case. County IVSS supports offender and case search plus confidential notification settings. TDCJ IVSS can display categories such as In Custody, Under Supervision, Unsupervised Custody, and Out of Custody, with expected or actual release fields when populated.

“Out of Custody” means departure from the displayed custody category. It does not rule out another county hold, federal movement, or ICE detention. The final release sheet identifies the actual time, type, and receiving agency.
Register Hopkins County Release Alerts
After selecting the correct county record, IVSS offers registration with or without an account where available. Current state material identifies calls, texts, and email, along with preferred hours and blackout dates. Choose only the events and contact route shown in the live portal.
- Select the matched offender or case, then choose the notification option.
- Pick the covered event, such as release, transfer, or another custody change.
- Enter a call, text, or email destination and set timing preferences offered by IVSS.
- Complete the account or confirmation process displayed on screen.
- Keep the registration current and preserve any later event notice.
Legacy VINE used a four-digit telephone PIN. No current official PIN step appears in the Texas IVSS instructions, so old PIN directions should not be applied to a new registration. The IVSS-Counties call center operates around the clock at 866-268-8959.
Confirm Hopkins County Release Alerts
A notification is event evidence, not a certified historical record. Save the alert, then ask the Hopkins County Sheriff for the final booking and release screen. The request should seek release date and time, release reason or type, and any receiving agency. Compare that response with the court cause, because a bond order or dismissal supplies legal context while the jail sheet proves physical departure.
For a TDCJ case, compare IVSS with the official offender detail and Review and Release Processing. A favorable parole vote or expected date can precede actual departure. Federal cases require the BOP locator or federal case route. ICE detention uses the ICE locator. Neither federal system is covered by county IVSS.
Two Texas Release Notification Layers
A Hopkins bond-out or county sentence completion starts with IVSS-Counties and sheriff data. Search the county portal with a name or booking identifier, then obtain the release sheet if the person no longer appears. A TDCJ parole or mandatory-supervision release starts with state IVSS. Search by name, SID, or current TDCJ number and read the exact status.
TDCJ Victim Services also registers and assists eligible users at 800-848-4284 or victim.svc@tdcj.texas.gov. Registration is confidential. The service can provide letters, email, texts, or certain phone notices based on the program and preference. It cannot turn an expected date into a guaranteed pickup time.

No Hopkins County IVSS Result
No match is not a finding of release. The spelling may differ, an identifier may be wrong, the feed may be delayed, or the person may have moved outside the system's scope. Check the Hopkins Current Inmates page as a negative custody check. Then search the vendor's “24 Hours Arrests” page, which has displayed records labeled RELEASED despite its misleading title.
That vendor label is only a lead. It omits the release date, reason, and destination and includes old arrest dates. If neither source returns a record, search by arrest date and request the existing booking and final release records. For a federal arresting agency, follow USMS or BOP. For an ICE hold, search the ICE locator promptly.
Preserve enough detail to reconcile the sources. Record the precise spelling, birth date or approximate age, booking date, arresting agency, jail ID, SID, TDCJ number, and court cause number that apply. A common name can produce several plausible results. The agency identifier and case data are the safer match.
When the county portal reports a release event, ask what kind of event occurred. A bond release means physical departure while the criminal case continues. Time served or sentence expiration concerns completion of a custodial term. Transfer means Hopkins County gave custody to another agency. Only the sheriff record can supply the local timestamp and destination that the IVSS notice may omit.
A future expected date is not an alert that departure occurred. Recheck the live status and contact the custodian before arranging pickup. If the person remains on Hopkins Current Inmates, report only that the vendor displays the person as booked at the time checked. A posted bond amount does not prove payment or release because another hold may remain.
For a court-level check, route felony district causes through the Hopkins County District Clerk and county misdemeanor causes through the County Clerk or county docket. A judgment, dismissal, or bond order explains the legal authority, but it does not record the exact moment jail processing ended. Keep the IVSS notice, court result, and custodian record as separate pieces of proof.
The same care applies after a TDCJ result changes. Under Supervision is not sentence discharge, while Out of Custody does not exclude a new authority.
